Bit Torrent in a P2P app which has widely been accepted as the first channel for posting GNU/Linux distros, even before FTP sites are updated with the latest ISO's. This is a legal use of the program, and not an illegal use of the technology.
Its extremely popular amongst the GNU community for sharing, saving bandwidth costs and making access easy for those seeking the latest distros.

the minisicule amount of linux "iso's" and gnu community use hardly justifies the popularity of bit torrent and other p2p type file sharing programs out there. the popularity is in the illegal use of said programs. not because somebody wants the latest distro of "knoppix" for example. most popular activity involving the distribution of linux iso's are generaly available thru "http" mirrors at many of the larger universitys across our country. if you like illegal activities thats fine but dont expect honest folk to have it shovelled into them thay are NOT interested, being a leeching troll is fine just go find a site that appreciates that kind of thing as this one doesnt, this thread is gone off topic now so no more replies will be posted on the subject
