I did mean someone that has recently begun using computers with say Win XP and would not have encountered the myriad of Dos commands that someone like yourself are probably more at home with.

I meant that files can be deleted more easily when running in safe mode. I know from experience that if I try to delete an adware .exe file when running normally, I get a message that says access denied to the file and the only easy way I have found to delete access denied files is to boot up in safe mode and delete them from there.
