Try eBay-or a second hand computer store-or a 'casjh converts' type store (loan/pawnbrokers).

Why do you only have freeware and shareware?
This is not a "warez" site. We are able to legally distribute only freeware and shareware, since they are free.
Microsoft Word 97 is a retail app. It is illegal to offer for downloading. If you want a Word viewer then you can obtain it from here

If you are in need for a word replacement app, you can get a freeware program which should handle most of the chores MS WORD can do, and for free

AbiWord is a free word processing program similar to Microsoft® Word. It is suitable for typing papers, letters, reports, memos, and so forth.

Get Open Office (http://www.openoffice.org/) a great freeware (and even open source) MS Office Alternative that can read and write doc, rtf, ppt, xls and can export to PDF without Adobe Acrobat. It's better than MS Office in every way, except that you would have to change certain habits.

You can buy Microsoft Word from here (http://office.microsoft.com/home/office.aspx?assetid=FX01085799&CTT=6&Origin=ES790020011033) or check out OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org/), an open source(FREEWARE) alternative that is compatable with Microsoft Word.

If you are using Windows 9x or 16 bit there is a free version of Word available from Microsoft. This is Word 5.5 for DOS. I don't have the link to hand but if you search the forums I have posted it in another thread.

If you just use Word Processing download Abiword (links above) which is fully compatible with MS Word.

Forget it, it's copyrighted software, not free, and I doubt there is any demo version available (though you don't even seem to be asking for a demo).

I can vaguely recall installing Word 2000 on Windows 98. Ofcourse, simply stating it ran on Windows 98 is not a guarantee it will work smoothly on your hardware.
