I have been using Quark Xpress version 3.31 on my trusty Mac for years but have a need for an old PC version to use on my Windows 98 SE machine. I think my Mac version is at least 8 years old and it does all I need so a PC version of about the same vintage would be fine. Can anybody help?

Best regards,,

Frank

I bought Quark 4.1 for the PC off Ebay for $400, 1/2 off, came in a un-opened box with manuals and all paper work. Might look there.

OR

I may know where you can get a PC Quark 5.0, but that will cost you. We have a client that already had Pagemaker 6.5 & was told to buy Quark, so they did, but they like Ragemaker better. Reply back if you are interested. I don't have a price, but keep in mind that retail is reaching $900 USD

Sorry beanboy. I shoulda noticed that post :-/
I did a search of the forum and found nothing usefull. The post locustfurnace linked does not help.

Here are the program details:

Program: Quark Xpress
website: http://www.quark.com
current version: 6.0
Desired version: 4.11 DEMO(NOTHING ELSE WILL WORK INCLUDING FULL VERSION)
Program purpose: A page building application for the print industry. I need 4.11 DEMO because it is free and I have a plugin application that is only compatible with 4.11.

Thanks again.

Are you saying you can not use any of the FREE, fully function DTP's that are in the other thread?
Why can you only use the DEMO version anyway? Usually DEMO apps never have many options, such as the ability (option) for saving your work. They will usually let you demonstrate the app, but not produce any results from it. Have you used the QuarkExpress 4.11 before, and are just comfortable with it and are not wanting to try any others? Or??

Being that QuarkExpress 4.11 is older, the free dtps i have collected and posted should be able to fullfill whatever your trying to do.
I have already searched before for the QE 4 that is why I had posted all the freebies.

This is for a work related project. Our end users will be using Quark 4.11 and we need to test with Quark 4.11. I would prefer the demo because it is free. The demo only removes the ability to save files - which we will not be doing anyway. Thanks.

I decided to try one more time, though its not 4.11, it is 4.1, might still work for you. I downloaded and installed it. being an older app it lacks the installers of todays apps, after you unzip the file, go to the Quark_Demo folder, and then to the Install.-US folder to run the setup.exe.

youve obviously just joined and dropped this topic. perhaps you should of read a little more and bothered to learn about the site a little before posting. perhaps you should of read the pinned topic HOW TO REQUEST AN APP at the top of the request section, and also note this site deals with freeware shareware and demo software and doesnt condone the use of cracks and warez of any kind please do not use this terminology in your postings.

Please search the forum before posting any requests. As already stated, cracks and serials are illegal. this is not a warez site. If you do not want to pay for the softeware, don't steal it, use a freeware alternative. This keeps you legal.
in this thread (http://www.oldversion.com/talk/index.php?act=ST&f=3&t=1501&st=0#entry4958) you will find Free, and shareware DTPS.

I must appolpgise for not reading the sticky. I should have said I was looking for the 5.0 demo only because I knew we had it at work, but could not find it, and needed to get a project done. You will be happy to know I found the legal version that we perchised. Again sorry for my lack of thinking in this post.

Here's a request according to the rules, I found nothing related to what I'm looking for on the forums or the website.

Program Name: Quark XPress
Website: http://www.quark.com/
Current version: 6.1
Desired versions: 4.11 or 5.01
Description: software for design and layout

I foud a demo version of the newest version of the software on the official website, but the problem is it won't run unless I upgrade my OS to Win2000 ... at the very least.
I need to learn how to handle it (job application).

Hope someone can help :)

Thanks anyway
