Anyone have TaxAct 2002 , 2001 standard ( free versions ) ?It is not particularly for me but rather for you, so that your request may be more easily understood and fulfilled by anyone that may want to.
Do you see any difference between your post and that of the good example provided by locustfurnace basically you just fill in the blanks.
A good example from a poster;

Program Name: *********
Website: ***********
Current version: ******
Desired versions: *********
Description: *************

You did not state where the current website is. This is extremely helpful. Simply reading previous postings & the PINNED TOPIC, you would have seen many examples of how to properly post. Saying it seems clear to you, does not mean it is clear to me.
This i have already discussed in the past. You are looking for a single file, while i find thousands of files from Windows OS to BeOS to QNX to Solaris applications, etc.etc.. Many can have a similar filename, so a wbesite helps by giving a referrence.
I do not have the time to track down the website for your request, If you can not be bothered to add the tiny bit of info to your request, how do you expect it to be fulfilled?
When people answer requests that are not properly formatted, this does not help push home the idea of making a proper request. Some people dont mind tracking down this info, or guessing if they found the right application someone is seeking, since many times the person requesting an app never states which version they want. This is fine to do also. but is a waste of time if your guessing what the person is asking for, and if you stike-out on your find, you'll then see why waiting for the additional info helps.

I would think that says it all , how much more information was needed , TaxAct ( clearly the program ) , 2002 , 2001 standard ( free version ) ( clearly the version , ok I could have said I needed both 2001 and 2002 and that it was for pc ) but other than that , I don't see what the probelm is with it .

You still did not include a website. Application name is NOT the same as filename. and we search based on filename not application name. Which we find the current filename on the current version, without a website, those who seek are then forced into looking this up on a search engine, and hoping that they land on the developers site and not some site which is a redistributer.
If these which you do not see as important, were not important, they would be be asked for. The only things important to help find an app is exactly what is listed under the pinned topic, this is why it is pinned and pointed out to anyone who posts a request.
Its important because it takes less time searching for the app in question by me and other who seek files. this is why it is asked.

example
Application name is Easy Audio Extractor
Filename; (which we use to seek), EACb97.zip

As always, please search before making a request to see if it has already been asked for. Then if you find an exisiting thread, add your request into it.
