I'm looking for the previous version of MSN Explorer, the only difference is the email. When you click the email icon in the old version it takes you to MSN Explorer integrated hotmail which lets you save files locally, active spell check (if you've got Word). The new version just takes you to the hotmail website and is not integrated to MSN Explorer at all. If anyone still has this version then please get in touch.....
you'll make an old man happy!!

I too would like to get back the "OLD MSN EXPLORER". Half the time I can't open any of the attachments that are sent to me in "HOTMAIL". I don't like "HOTMAIL".

Since your a regular here, I would have thought you would atleast have the courtesy to have had searched the forum and properly formatted your request. Guest posters can say they did not know, but you have made several requests here, you know what to do, next time you make a request, search and format accordingly.
Had you taken the time to search instead of just posting a message - which the Topic you titled this was changed; if ya did not notice, due to the wording. Dont make the request topic title obscured, format it so it relates to your request.

Does anybody know where I could get the older (free) version of MSN explorer ?
All I could find is the subscription based one, the MSN - Plus and the MSN Premium.
You guys remember that there was a version you could download from MSN and then sign in with your hotmail account or free msn account and such ?

Sincerely,

Julian

FOOLS, ok listen up msn explorer is awful. I mean really really bad. Personaly I would just make a dial up connection with username and password of that of your msn and then use ie or Mozilla.

It is version 6.02, and you have to delete the update component to keep it working right; does anyone have it, I need it too.

I have a customer who likes the msn 6.02 mail setup, does anyone have it?

i actually once contacted MSN about this situation regarding MSN Explorer because i was using it and one day noticed that i was no longer directed to the MSN Explorer Email section, but redirected to Hotmail and it turns out they are screwing us over. they told me that only paid subscribers or accounts associated with paid subscriptions would be able to use the integrated email section and all free accounts would be associated with Hotmail. i think they did this in order to phase out MSN Explorer in order to introduce MSN Premium. if anyone knows a way around this, then great! because i would love to use the FREE MSN Explorer with the email section integrated into it.
