If you want Xchat, request it and it will be fulfilled in the REQUEST area. Before you make a request, read the "How to Request an App", and fill out the request properly. also rem to search for similar requests before posting duplicate threads.

How about clearly marking freeware & shareware as such? I find it
quite annoying to download a program that I thought was freeware--
but instead was a trial.

As stated in the past, this is not a site to discover new apps, thats not the intention, it does happen though. The intent to to preserve old software people have used, are familiar with, and wish to use once again.
Most visitors are already familar with the status of the software, whether it is Share or Free.
I do this in the forum, I make sure to clearly mark Freeware and Shareware titles when possible.
I do not see the main site making this distinction, as the site has been working as-is for a long time now.
