OldVersion should cancel the links for the versions under 2.6 of LimeWire.
This is because the newer LimeWire versions include GWebCache support, and GWebCaches are required to connect to the Gnutella network.
So version under that wont work.

perhaps they no longer work but as with some other older versions of other software that does not necessarily mean that people will not want them for whatever reason it may be, i think the cancelling of links and content available here should be left to admin, im sure they would get rid of something if they thought it of no purpose to anyone.

As mentioned before, and as the_gaffer states, just cause the program does not work in your opinion, does not mean the app is not useful for someone else.
Just look at the number of people still using/downloading older Napster clients. Some use them just to play their music on. Which if you had read any of the previous postings on the Oldversion.com board, which your thread was moved to since you posted it under the general board. You would have found threads with an answer already, So take the time to read threads such as this one

Lastly, there is a need to archive cultural artifacts. If software is allowed to disappear into the past, a piece of our history will be lost. People must be have access to this data in order to understand the direction the computer industry and civilization as a whole is heading.

Just because a version is not fully functional, it does not mean it is completely worthless. By that logic, any old version is useless because the latest versions always get rid of many bugs.

OldVersion.com represents the freedom of choice in the digital age. It is not up to us to decide which choice is right or wrong, but for all visitors to choose for themselves.
