The homepage has Adobe Acrobat Readers as well.

There are not many options for reading pdf's (Portable Document File) under the Windows OS except for Acrobat, unless you are very proficient with computer software, then you could use Ghostscript and XPDF under cygwin environment. Or one could convert the pdf to a postscript file and convert to any other format you wish.
I prefer Ghostview and XPDF while using UNIX. It's much faster than the latest Acrobat. If you want to download an old Acrobat that should handle about 80% of pdfs, get version 3.0, it should load much faster then any other versions.
Acrobat files are good, but DjVu files are even better.

Actually, I'd recommend 4.0

But at any rate, don't get the newest version. Acrobat Reader 5 and 6 are a perfect epitome of why this site exists.

Want to elaborate alittle on why you would chose this version?
When someone says they would pick XYZ over RST, I'm curious as to why. The more personal preferrences & why, the better the site becomes. It's tough to go on a recommendation, when there is nothing explaining the choice.
