Assuming you mean the Demo/Tryout version (actually 4.01 or 4.01b):
ftp://ftp.nhl.nl/Win32/utils/ps4try.exe
or
ftp://ftp.ugatu.ac.ru/pub/Soft/Adobe/Adob...shop/ps4try.exe (ftp://ftp.ugatu.ac.ru/pub/Soft/Adobe/Adobe%20Photoshop/ps4try.exe)

Possibly the last great art program that would run on Windows 3.1, as well as 95 (even supported long filenames on 95).
This version is only limited in that it cannot save or print. It doesn't expire after 30 days.

I have an original 4.0 disk that I bought on eBay just after v5 came out. I'd be happy to ship it to you for $2 to cover the cost of a mailer and postage. If you are interested, please let me know.

Just copy the photoshop folder from you old machine to your new one, make new shortcuts to the executables, and bang, you've transplanted Photoshop 3. On first launch it will tell you what dll's are missing from win/system32 directory, then copy those over as well.

I have a P200 computer and i want to run photoshop on it. I heard that version 4 should do fine on that machine. Where can i get that version?

locustfurnace
10-16-2003, 08:08 PM
Does the P200 have MMX, or is it Non-MMX, I have run PS5 on my older P200 Non-MMX with no problems, just be sure you have ample ram

DonCorleo
10-16-2003, 08:20 PM
Damn, i did use the search and found only a mac link. Probably because of the added version number. sorry about that.

Its a P200 nonMMX with 128Mb internal memory. I want to use it for editing pictures i take with my Canon 10D

locustfurnace
10-16-2003, 08:28 PM
thats ok, I just want to point out that if you search you will get an answer, instead of waiting for someone to reply, its better for you to search then wait. just trying to help you out alittle.
might have needed to expand the search past 30 days or something.

I also posted some more links for freeware editors that i think will do good for quick editing, can check those out here.
http://www.oldversion.com/talk/index.php?a...t=ST&f=3&t=1382 (http://www.oldversion.com/talk/index.php?act=ST&f=3&t=1382)
I find that the LviewPro does a very good job of compressing files to the jpeg format, but I use Firehand Embler for PNG compression, it does a better job than other apps.
and I have used them all on my older P200NonMMX.

Plus those other apps on the other thread will be less RAM hungry than Photoshop. But since your using PS4, it should be ok, have PS4 and Adobe illustrator on an old PPC 7200/120 and it works fine.

Help! I bought a fully licenced upgrade for Photoshop 7 over 6 montrhs ago because someone assured me that they had a old full version to upgrade upon. Guess what, they didn't have it after all (it was a LE version). I'm not sure far how far back it will allow a base version to be, but right now I can't use it at all. Can anyone help?

This is not a "warez" site. We are able to legally distribute only freeware and shareware, since they are free.

You might want to try getting a shareware 6 version, and seeing if the license will apply to it. Or seeing if once installed you can install the upgrade over it, but I don't think either way is going to work.
You most likely will need a full prior version to be able to upgrade ontop of.

I was having the same problem, I was upgrading to XP, and I had lost my Photoshop disk (d'oh) so i looked all over for a warez version, knowing fully that I once owned the software and theres no way I was going to lose it. The only one i could find was CS, i used it about twice until I found a backup of photoshop 7 (thank goodness). If you once owned photoshop 7, email me at edit with a subject relating to photoshop. i'll try to help you out. :)

Mentioning "cracks" on this site will not get your request fullfilled, neither will not properly postings in the correct format, or attempting to search for this file in the past postings, as this has been asked, requested and fulfilled numerous times.
OldVersion does not condone the use of illegal software. If you want the program, purchase a license.

Not everyone is a thief, most pay for the software they download and continue to use after the trial period ends, just as most people pay for the merchandise in retail outlets and only a few people shoplift.
If you do not want to pay for a license, then find a freeware alternative, there are plenty also listed in the forum.

http://www.oldversion.com/aboutov.php ]OldVersion.com has several objectives. One is to discourage the use of spyware by software companies. Also known as adware, these hidden programs come bundled with certain applications and secretly transmit user information via the Internet to advertisers. A possible way to avoid spyware is to download an old version of a program. By using OldVersion.com, you can get the clean old versions of programs as well as show the industry your dissatisfaction with these types of business practices.

Another goal is to assist computer users who are unable to continually upgrade their computer. Those who find that their machine is not able to run the latest version of a certain application have no choice but to use to an old version of the program. Unfortunately, the vast majority of software companies do not offer this opportunity to their clients. We are doing our small part to help bridge the digital divide by allowing everyone to enjoy the same software regardless of their hardware.

You were expecting Adobe® Photoshop® 8.0 to follow Photoshop 7.0, right? Instead, we named the new, full-version upgrade Adobe Photoshop CS. Why would we do such a thing? We wanted to communicate that, in addition to being available on its own, Photoshop CS is also available as a part of Adobe's new Creative Suite.

But make no mistake: Photoshop CS is a major upgrade from Photoshop 7.0. People like Scott Bourne of PhotoFocus have called Photoshop CS "the single most significant Photoshop upgrade ever," and PC Magazine gave Photoshop CS a 5 out of 5 rating and the Editors' Choice Award. Photoshop has also recently received awards from Macworld magazine, Photo Trade News, and American Photo.

you only want a copy of the image, that would be against state law if it was a copy of the image as with your request for a copy of the xp image try ebay.com or your local computer jumble for a genuine cd why ever people want patches and serials for i will never know, that kind of thing is why software is so expensive now us honest folk pay higher prices to cover all the losses due to piracy etc if you want it buy it or use a freeware alternative

Don't you know anything?

I'm not asking for a serial or a patch,

I'm asking for the ISO as I no longer have the original CD, but have the original serial.

It is not illegal to carry the files it is using them without a licence that is illegal.

If you have a copy of the CD read the licence agreement, then please send me a copy.

Thanks.

As there would be no way to verify that you have actually purchased a legal serial, and did not find a serial via the Internet, that decision can not be made. Since it again is not a freeware or shareware title you seek, the offering of links or ISO images via Oldversion.com is not permissible.
Contact Adobe, explaining your situation, you have a legally registered serial, they should be able to assist you.

Secondly I spoke to Adobe and basically it costs money to send it out, which is useless, i'm not prepaired to spend anymore money than I have to.

It is definitely Oldversions decision. As if it is posted and is deemed illegal, Oldversion, not you, would face criminal lawsuits for copyright violations.

seems strange that people always have a serial number but manage to lose or no longer have the cd ? usually the serial key is on the label on the back or insert of the cd case, miffs me how the cd gets lost and not the serial number especially with such an expensive title such as this you and people in general must be really careless with your expensive discs

There are plenty of links for photoshop, please take a moment the next time and search before posting. The pinned topic is there for a reason.

You have obviously never read the vBulletin Forum rules/agreement...

It is definitely Oldversions decision. As if it is posted and is deemed illegal, Oldversion, not you, would face criminal lawsuits for copyright violations.
It is my decision, as the moderator, to mod what is and what is not posted here.

The vBulletin agreement makes it illegal for us or anyone to use their boards for serials, or cracks.

this comment was really pointless after the thread was left dormant for close on 4 months, especially seeing as you are completely and totally wrong.

always try searching before making requests http://www.oldversion.com/talk/showthread.php?t=1810&highlight=photoshop if threads such as this one for the same app do not contain the version you require then always add to the existing thread as it keeps all info on a particular program together making it easier for others to find.this particular thread has over 80 replies and may contain the version you require.

The vBulletin agreement does not let us discuss piracy.

I think that was my point.

Fact is I was not asking you or anyone to do anything illegal.

I am in no way wrong.

Took over a year to post a follow-up? What's the point in that.

welcome to oldversion,i merged your post into this existing thread, always a good idea to try a search before posting as many many programs have been asked for and answered before, here at oldversion we only deal with freeware/shareware and demo software,if you do not fancy the price of photoshop you could always try the http://www.gimp.org/windows/ which is freeware and in many peoples opinion just as good i myself use it nowadays over any other program.

Ok so there is probably posts like this all on the website but I can't really look through all of the stuff because I don't have time and need specifics.

Request:
Adobe Photoshop between 6.01 and CS3 (not 6.01 and CS3)
Must be free (trial versions work as well)
Must not be some persons edited form just a regular torrent.

Thanks.

You can get version 4 and up here.
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/photoshop/winIt only contains version 5,6 and CS2, oddly. The rest of the folders have updates, but not the trial apps.

Which is too bad. I came here looking for CS4 as it's only a few months old, and no luck. It's unfortunate given that CS5 won't install on my system :/
I guess I keep using Jasc :p
