The BBC has signed a deal with Real Networks so that if a user clicks a link to download Realplayer from the BBC site they get a spyware, ad-free and expiry free version of the player.
Whether this is available for non-uk users I am not sure as I am in the UK - give it a try at
download page (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/audiohelp_install.shtml)
The BBC argues that it charges for UK residents a licence fee for BBC content and does not support them paying all over again for viewing/listening at the website - I didn't know it did!
