I'm interested in PC Games published up to 1995. Any suggestions about websites to visit on that? Thanks in advance.

Just try typing 'old games' or 'classic games' into google, or any search engine. Most of the games before '95 would be DOS based. I have a few CD Roms from the old Computer Gaming magazine with a bunch of Demo's they would pack with each monthly release of the magazine. The Dates on the CDs are 1996.

Here are some old demo, shareware games you can try.

Just go through each dir, and click on the INDEX to view the descriptions.

Not sure if these are old, but you can skim through em

The best luck I had with old games is "flash games". http://www.addictinggames.com - flash game city (some old ones there).

Quite often I get a craving for old 80's arcade games. Flash seems to be the way to go. So many websites have them available .. thousands of them it seems. I have no problem finding them in google land.

Trying to run old dos games on a "newer" computer can get quite complicated. This is just an easy out :). Flash usually isnt' fully screen and such, but seems to satisfy my craving.

Why do you only have freeware and shareware?
This is not a "warez" site. We are able to legally distribute only freeware and shareware, since they are free.

This also includes, no links to sites which contain questionable material.

Why is the content at Home of the Underdogs questionable?
As some of the material is non sharware, freeware, but was at a time retail software.
Retail software is illegal to host. Using the "abandonware" term does not legalize hosting software thats no longer developed. Just because a developer no longer finds the product worth further developing does not mean anyone is free to do as they wish with the software. It is still copyrighted and owned by the holders of the copyright and only they, not someone else, can decide on how it is distributed.

Whatever you say, G-man.

*jumps on table* Do not! I repeat, DO NOT venture to --- for an eclectic mix of free software, games, and manuals. *jumps off table*

Now that I've told them not too, I'm sure they'll all be good little boys and girls and stay far far away from all of the illegal items. Just like they stay away from all of the music they don't own on the FastTrack network. But hey, you guys host the Kazaa Lite K++ client, so I guess thats okay.

Forget this forum, you people are way too uptight.
