There are many applications not hosted on the main site that are linked to from the forum pages please read the pinned topics before posting and when using the search (http://www.oldversion.com/talk/index.php?act=Search&f=) feature try different keyword/s, all categories, and any date, I got two pages of results by using the word popup.
If what your after is not there read the pinned topic on how to request and find an existing popup thread to post your request into.
There is no need to start a new thread, your request will go to the front of the forum board no matter what thread its posted into Keyword = popup (http://www.oldversion.com/talk/index.php?act=Search&CODE=show&searchid=c2111bcd7f638c62d5319e46e50e6567&search_in=posts&result_type=topics&highlite=popup)

Also, SLIMBROWSER has pop up protection. it also has an in page ad filter. Slimbrowser is just like Internet Explorer but a little different..
I have found that both of them work very well, i never get a pop up.. Like back here in older posts ...

MyIE2 which uses the SDK from Slimbrowser, is basically the same, except that Slimbrowser does block floating images. It removes ads based on size and or timing. If you load a page and 2 seconds adterwards another page is executed, it will block it.
The final solution to blocking ads is just disable the javascripting.
But using Slimbrowser, Knonqueror. I've not seen a pop-up in many years.
