In theory this text should be horizontally scrolling, but it isn't. Does anyone know why it doesn't

Other than being rather annoying, I would not see any reason you would want it to scroll.
It's possible the Admin has disabled this feature, or it was removed in the IBB code.

Sorry but this is totally off topic and not suitable for this topic ;)

...But i dont want to start my own topic.

How do you get avatars? I want to put a URL to an avatar and their is none. It has built in ones or dont use one. Can't you have custom ones?

EDIT: Knowone else has them so i guess you can't.

I agree it would be intensely annoying. I came across a list of bb codes and some work and some don't. As you say this particular feature must be disabled.

I belive the Admin disabled the use of avatars.

As this is old version maybe the smiley option should also be disabled to preserve bandwidth and go back to the old days when smiley's were produced using only the keyboard. http://research.microsoft.com/~mbj/Smiley/Smiley.html

Thats possibly another answer to the question, being an older software title, the old version might not support marquee's. : )
