Evil Viruses!

I have a serious virus problem on my machine. No clue how it happened though but so far only thing its done is kill my internet service and slowed my machine a bit. I dont have any virus software except for an adware remover so id like to get an old version of Norton or some other program for virus removal and take to my machine to remedy this. AVG is a good free anti-virus - www.grisoft.com (http://www.grisoft.com).

Or usually, Microsoft or Symantec will have launched removal tools.
