Does anyone know anything about Hewlett-Packard computers and its "cloaker.exe" problem/program? Three computers purchased from our local Wally-World within 3 months of each other all contain bizarre and unusual executable files. For example, “KILLWIN.EXE” and similar. All files are located in the c:\……\hp\bin\ directory and none have been detected by any spyware, malware, anti-virus, program tried. Files were accidentally discovered after bootscans, detected numerous viruses and worms subsequently causing MAJOR meltdowns, headaches and backup and system restore programs are going, “What?” Any pattern here or just coincidence? I don’t own the HP Pavilion and my computer is behaving quite nicely in spite of its operator.
