Can anyone tell me where I can download Printer Drivers for LQ-100+ for use with Windows 98SE. Please. I can only find a Windows Universal Printer Driver, but this is for W3.1 -W95. The Driver I require is not listed on Epson or Filesearch. Does anyone know which other Driver I can use, or know of another download site. Thank you.

Can't you find a page that doesn't need people to register?

You don't need to register if you know the one and only user name and password.

USER NAME is: driver
PASSWORD is: all

To access the guide, follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to http://www.driverguide.com/
Step 2: Click on the member login link.
Step 3: You will be asked for your user name and password. (please make sure the user name and password are in lowercase)

I made a phone call to Epson in Sweden (where I live) and talked with a person (from England) about your problems with your printer. He gave 2 alternative advises.

1. He was almost certain that the your Printer Driver is available in Win 98. Now he and I used XP but the path should be something like this: start->settings->printers->add printers->epson.

2. Try with Epson in Germany, www.epson.de. Click "drucker" (printer) to the left and then "24 Nadeldrucker" (24 needle printer) chose "Betriebsystem" (OS) "Sprache" (language) "alle" (all). It doesn't matter which language you chose since the file is "mehrsprachig" (multilingual).
At the end you will come to the following site: http://www.epson.de/cgi-bin/epson-de/driver.pl .

I hope any of these advises will be useful for you.

After I posted the message above I tried the link (which I hade copied and pasted) but it didn't work. I don't know why since when I go the "long way" with www.epson.de->download->drucker and so on I come to a download site with the same address.

Good luck.

http://www.squarefree.com/bookmarklets/for...rms.html#frmget (http://www.squarefree.com/bookmarklets/forms.html#frmget)

Bookmark (or add to Favorites) the link that says "frmget"

On the drivers page http://www.epson.de/support/download/index_drivers.htm, go to your bookmarks (or favorites) and click on "frmget". A dialog box with an "OK" button comes up that says "Changed 9 forms to use the GET method. After submitting a form from this page, you should be able to bookmark the result.", just click the OK button to get rid of it. Now look for "24 Nadeldrucker" (24 needle printer) on the driver page, then under the first selection list (Ihr Druckermodell) select EPSON LQ-100, leave the last 2 at "alle" (all) and click "Suchen" (Search). You should get a URL that looks similar to this:

http://www.epson.de/cgi-bin/epson-de/drive...&Submit4=Suchen (http://www.epson.de/cgi-bin/epson-de/driver.pl?SiteLang=Ger&Datum=02112001SK&Printer=EPSON+LQ-100&OperatingSystem=All&Lang=All&Submit4=Suchen)

Here&#39;s why you DON&#39;T use the "GET" method (<form method="get">) on sites like Yahoo&#33; Mail (http://mail.yahoo.com/). Hotmail (http://www.hotmail.com/), OldVersion.com Forum (http://www.oldversion.com/talk/), or SSS&#39;s Forum (http://www.99resolutions.com/SSSSSS/): If you came accross a form asking for a user name and password, your user name and password would be displayed in the URL. In this example, I&#39;ll use the DATADYNE Corp. (http://www.datadyne.com/) (fake company in a game called Perfect Dark (http://www.perfectdark.com/) {an older copy of it (http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.perfectdark.com/)} for N64 (http://www.nintendo.com/), made by Rareware (http://www.rareware.com/) {an older copy of it (http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.rareware.com/)}) restricted page. If you used that bookmark to change the form to GET, your browser sends this URL and displays it in the address bar (http://www.datadyne.com/datadyne/restricted.asp?UserName=JamesTann07&Password=8CR31D29&Submit=Enter):

http://www.datadyne.com/datadyne/restricted.asp?UserName=JamesTann07&Password=8CR31D29&Submit=Enter

Why is this a problem? Hackers, if they intercept your internet traffic, can see this URL. Alternatively, you can just enter the User Name "JamesTann07" and Password "8CR31D29" at the restricted page (http://www.datadyne.com/datadyne/restricted.htm).

See, I got it right here:
http://www.epson.de/cgi-bin/epson-de/drive...&Submit4=Suchen (http://www.epson.de/cgi-bin/epson-de/driver.pl?SiteLang=Ger&Datum=02112001SK&Printer=EPSON+LQ-100&OperatingSystem=All&Lang=All&Submit4=Suchen)

"Suchen" (I guess that&#39;s Submit in English)

Almost correct. "Suchen" is German for "search".
