I have the installers for iTunes 4.2, 4.5, 4.6, 4.7, 4.7.1, 4.8, 4.9, 5.0, and 5.0.1. I imagine that at least some of these may be useful to users. Every few weeks in the forums I'm part of someone pops in and asks for an old version of iTunes for this or that reason. This very thing happened at ArsTechnica today and I was going to direct him to OV but I found the iTunes section empty. Is that the case for some legal reason? If not, I'd like to offer to upload/send my installers to add to this site.

I also have a slew of old eMule installers and I notice you don't have any although since thats OSS you might be able to get old versions from SourceForge.

I also have installers for old versions of EZ-CD-DA Extractor (http://www.poikosoft.com/) and I imagine those might be sought after because starting with version 7 the shareware setup because very restrictive but before that it was very open.

Any interest in any of these?

I found the Itunes folder to be empty on Oldversions.com, but eventually found one online, but it wouldn't download onto Windows ME on a friends computer.

Does anyone know if there is a specific version that is needed for this version of Windows?

iPod and Windows Media Player can work, but you would need something like xPlay from Media Four.
http://www.mediafour.com/support/xplay/requirements.asp It says under requirements iPods can sync through Windows 98se and Windows Me using Windows Media Player or not. There is a trial, or you can buy it. Its no iTunes, but it can help. Also, try Real Player 10. It's free, songs are cheap, and it works with the iPod. That is what I like to use. :)

To run Itunes on a 64 bit version of windows you must instsall Itunes 6.0.4. You can find the installer at the following web site.

Ok, i'm am really new when it comes to MAC products. I recently purchased 8 iMacs from a school for $50.00 a pop. All are equiped with the following:
G3
OS 9.1 (Just upgraded to OS 10.1)
600 mhz cpu
128 ram
cd writer

All work great for how old they are. The only problem is nothing is available for them, as far as newer versions of iTunes and not even Firefox.
I's like to get the latest version of iTunes (supported by OS 10.1) as well as Firefox(if it is supported by 10.1).
Can't find the software anywhere . . .
Also, if anyone has a clue, what is the latest OS these iMacs can use?

i just stumbled across this thread for the first time since i started it up almost a year ago. to everyone i didn't respond to, my apologies. i was initially posting for the interest of the people who run oldversion.com in hopes that that i could send/upload the installers i have for the genera public. in any case, i'll set it up so that i get a weekly email update on this post so i can start responding to some of these requests if they're still out there.

what? you kinda need...what?

a few general notes:
- to the people saying they don't want to pay for itunes 6/7: itunes has always been and remains free. i suspect that you may be searching for itunes and then clicking on "sponsored links" aka ads at the top of the search results. basically, i don't know what to tell you if you can't figure this out on your own, but go to www.apple.com/itunes/ for itunes.

- on a related note, since itunes is free, if you have a computer (an old imac, for example) that you would like to play music on but didnt come with itunes, go to www.apple.com/itunes/ and you can download and install it for free.

- as a general rule, the itunes installer is too big to email. i can (theoretically, mind you) send it with services like yousendit.com or via instant messenger. if i had a bunch of bandwidth to play with, i'd post it on my webspace but i don't.

- regarding above - if you're requesting something, please specify what. my original post is about at least 12 different installers.
