I use DIA (http://www.gnome.org/projects/dia/)
Its OpenSource software, Free. I've never used the MS windows build of it, but it should work. It does UML diagrams, flowcharts, network diagrams, and simple circuits.

No, I did not ask that question.

There were sample diagrams. See below

Copy of sample files, an old version, that came with this program. (http://www.filefactory.com/get/f.php?f=25c1095ecf295e1767a5eb75) I just can't seem to able to find an old version with these files included online.

No where on that site does it tell, how much RAM is needed.

Thats a good question. How much RAM do you have?
I do not believe it will require much RAM at all. The best bet is to download it and try it out yourself.
I've used various versions of it over the years, with machines ranging in RAM amounts from 80Megs to over 1GB.

http://dia-installer.sourceforge.net/

The only thing is states is that it be Windows, 98, ME, NT, 2000 or XP.
