Why is the board statistics missing? It's where it shows how many posts all the members made and who is the newest member. Why is it missing?

They were probably disabled.

Under Board Settings you'll find Speed Saving (sometimes called CPU Saving), you can disable the following:
Show Active Users?
Show Birthdays?
Show Board Totals?

Yeah, it doesn't really matter. What matters is keeping the server load low, and it the statistics are pretty much useless.

[root@oldversion root]# uptime
5:13pm up 117 days, 3:12, 1 user, load average: 0.63, 0.42, 0.31
[root@oldversion root]#

It's lower then before, and that's what matters :)

Also, in the Calendar Setup part of the Board Settings in the Admin CP, you can choose whether you want to show the Forthcoming Calendar Events with the next X days. (Note: This is only available in 1.1 Beta 1 or higher.)
