Quicktime question

Hi everybody I am new here...if anyone can help me with my problem I would appreciate it. I need to install quicktime v6.4 but since I am running v7.1 it won't let me install 6.4 unless I uninstall 7.1....is there any way around this? Is it possible to run two versions on the same computer?
