Hi, posting on behalf of my stepfather...

He's got MMJB ver 7.2
He says it used to rip tracks off cd's at a fast rate, but now it will start it at around 5x but then slow right down within the first 10-20 seconds to about 1.2x

He says it seemed to coincide with changing the recording source to line-in when he recorded some vinyl, but he's buggered if he can figure out why after changing the source back, it won't pick up speed again.

Any ideas?
thanks in advance

i dont personally use/like musicmatch but did find this on the net,it was the very same problem you had .
.
and the solution was.

i renamed MMCD.INI and the cd drive was re-tested
automatically - fixed the problem.

no that would mean, rename that mmcd.ini to a different name what ever you want.obviously then mmjb should retest the drive and create a new file of that name and you should be set.as i say never personally done it as i dont use musicmatch.

You should probably rename MMCD.INI to MMCD.OLD
