New WinMX user

I just dowloaded a version of the WinMx program from your oldversion.com website, but I cannot make it work for some reason. i thought that it would be an automatic hook up, but it keeps asking me for proxy numbers. Can you help me with this?

WinMX 3.53/3.54 needs a Hosts file patch again to connect. Download at...

...Place Hosts file in Windows/System32/drivers/etc folder for Win2K/XP or Windows folder for Windows 98SE/ME.
