Hi. I've been trying to install Windows Media Player 10 on my computer. My operating system is Windows XP Home edition. I've downloaded the MP10setup program, both from here and the microsoft site. But when I run the program it comes up with an error message:

"This version of Windows Media Technologies is incompatible with this version of Windows. For more information, view the information at the Microsoft web site."

But when I go to view the information on why it wasn't installed, it says the page can't be displayed.

I currently have Windows Media 9 but my MP3 player is designed to sync with Windows Media 10.

Any suggestions why I can't install it and what I can do to get it to work?

I recommend WMP 10 for XP. Some embedded video links will not work with version 9. I thought version 11 was a pig.

Media Player Classic, or BSPlayer 2, are way better ^^
