I recently had my desktop computer die on me and changed over to a Compaq Armada
E500 laptop that I bought used as a reserve computer. It has a Windows 98 OS and I am able to run Word 2000 on it. I am trying to access some PDF files that I had on the old machine, on CD, and also saved as email attachments. The old machine ran on Windows ME, and had adobe acrobat on it. This machine doesn't, and my efforts to download software off the web keep getting "Corrupted Files" notices with "Error' messages. I've uninstalled what I put on, versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 & 5.0.
What do I need to do here? I was trying to install on my C drive. I have no idea what I need to do, now. I was able to install Word 2000 from a CD. I'm lost here. Ted

Would Adobe Acrobat 8.0 work with Windows 98 or not?
