With all those versions of Quick Time can anyone recommend one ?

depends on your system as to what it can run,let us know the spec of the machine you intend to run it on and im sure someone will be able to help you out

Thanks the gaffer, my computer is an HP Presario with Windows XP, with the 3rd service pack.

version 6.5.0 should run just perfect on your presario,it is also a very stable version running under xp.
