To whom it may concern,

If anybody has any of the old versions of MailWasher <http://www.mailwasher.net> that support multiple accounts and MSN/Hotmail accounts (Free or Pro version) this would be of interest to me as well as many other individuals, I'm sure.

Thanks.

Can I use Yahoo with MailWasher?
A. Yes, to set up a POP account with Yahoo go to http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/

Q. Can I use MSN with MailWasher?
A. The free version of MailWasher does not support MSN accounts. If you wish to have MSN account support, then upgrade to MailWasher Pro at http://www.firetrust.com.

Direct from the free version mailwasher help.

Though this information is true, it does not really have anything to do with my query. I was looking for the old free version of MailWasher which DOES support Hotmail accounts and DOES support multiple account configurations. I was just hoping that this would become available on this site. Also, Yahoo mail accounts do not any longer support POP access and mail forwarding except through a pay subscription service. Thanks for your input.

MailWasher (2.0.28b and 1.33) shold be put on here because pretty soon it won't be able to be downloaded anywhere.

From Mailwasher.net (http://www.mailwasher.net):

"Finally the easy solution to managing your incoming emails has arrived. And it's free! Introducing MailWasher, the easiest way to check and manage your e-mails before you download them.

MailWasher is a powerful email checker with effective spam elimination. Discover the safe way to stop unwanted viruses and e-mails before they get to your computer. No gimmicks here, it is so easy to set up and use that you'll be managing your email like a pro in seconds. It can even be used as an effective privacy tool.

I think you will find this to be the easiest, most effective way to manage your incoming e-mails. You will be amazed at how quickly you will like using MailWasher.

Best regards,

Nick Bolton - MailWasher.net"

The author of the program has partnered with some american company and is now selling the product that used to be free.

He still has a free version, but it's shite. It is limited to checking only one account at a time and does not support Hotmail accounts. But the previous free version does support Hotmail accounts and does support more than one account at a time.

You can get this last free functional version here:

http://home.xtra.co.nz/hosts/nickbolton/do...lwasher2b28.exe (http://home.xtra.co.nz/hosts/nickbolton/download/mailwasher2b28.exe)

See my post in nz.tech for more info on this:

news:7Iota.59880$mZ4.682069@news.xtra.co.nz (http://news:7Iota.59880$mZ4.682069@news.xtra.co.nz)

So, in short, add this program to oldversion.com before it's lost forever! :(

If you would like a copy of the full/free/HotMail checking version, send me a mail or PM. I'll then e-mail you the files.

I can access Hotmail accounts with Mailwasher 1.32. The trick is to install the freeware program Hotmail Popper.
download it from www.boolean.ca/hotpop/ (http://www.boolean.ca/hotpop/)

this is true, excep that there is a program on sourceforge called YahooPOPS, which permits you to atleast use the pop access to receive your email via Outlook, Eudora, Kmail, or whichever pop client you use.

yahoopops
http://yahoopops.sourceforge.net/

YahooPOPs! is an open-source initiative to provide free POP3 access to your Yahoo! Mail account. YahooPOPs! is available o*n the Windows and Unix platforms.

This application emulates a POP3 server and enables popular email clients like Outlook, Netscape, Eudora, Mozilla, Calypso, etc., to download email from Yahoo! accounts.

Let me know which version is the most current as well as what version(s) you are interested in obtaining.

This helps locating files easier and faster when i have no idea what ya might be wanting

I'd like the version before 2.0.40.
The main difference is that Mailwasher 2.0.40 (Free) only suppoort one mail account. The Version before that supports more than one.
Thanks

Hello all.

I wonder if someone can direct me to a source for Mailwasher version 2.0.14. Subsequent betas and releases reduced the feature set. I have 2.0.4, and I'm crippled by it. The older version allows for multiple e-mail accounts.

Thanks!

at the moment you could email the owners and send them the file, but do not expect to see it online. I have sent files to OV in May, and they were never added. and have sent other files since then.
The owners were working on the site for a while. but i am not sure how the status of the OV site and if they are planning to add new files in the distant future, or have decided to be content with the almost 400 files already hosted.

I have just been emailing files to requests i am able to fill. or uploading those files to different servers so a file can be received. you might want to email the person who requested the file - if they are a registered user, if they did not register, then i guess you can just hold onto the files.

I am looking for MailWasher version 1.32. I have 1.33 but it has this bug where it doesnt open totally, there's a blank space at the top of the screen. I read about this at computergripes.com and it's just the way the program is. By having this space, you cant see if any mail is being processed at the server, you have to resize the screen first. Does anyone know where I can find 1.32? I've looked a lot with no success. I dont want a newer one as it only checks one account, not multiple accounts.

Thanks

I did do a search for MailWasher 1.33 on OV. While it's true that a lot of the links for older MailWashers are not working that doesn't mean you should have ignored How To Request an App (http://www.oldversion.com/talk/index.php?act=ST&f=3&t=1585) where it states:

Important

If you find a past posting which contains the same software title your seeking, but lacks the file versions you are searching for, Please ADD your request to that thread! DO NOT start a new thread with the same request just because a previous threads lacks the versions # you seek. This is very wasteful.

When making requests it is usally helpful to also search the thread you are making the request in !

Pages: (3) 1 [2] (http://www.oldversion.com/talk/index.php?&act=ST&f=3&t=820&st=15) 3 ( Go to first unread post )
===========================================
EDIT: you can get the latest (current) "free" version here : http://www.firetrust.com/... (http://www.firetrust.com/products/pro/free.php?download=1) it will be a full featured trial which will revert to a limited "free" version.
My original post assumed you would be looking for the last free featured version as this would be one of the leading uses of O.V.com.
Thus when making requests the more accurate info you give as to your requirements the greater likelyhood of a result.
Requesting a beta will not necessarily make the file any more free.
You may also want to take a closer look at the home address you provided.
