Have you considered screening new members for known spambots?

At forums that I moderate I use Stop Forum Spam (http://www.stopforumspam.com/) and SpamBot Search Tool v0.49 (http://temerc.com/Check_Spammers/)

If you had screened this spammer it would have been caught before it bothered anyone. See - Stop Forum Spam-Serendipity2 (http://www.stopforumspam.com/search?q=Serendipity2)

Ok it's good this has been dealt with.

Sending me spam is a bad move for spammers because I'll just expose them...
