It looks like a bogus stunt
no,I wouldn't like to eat that fish it would be so frustrating to try and get the flesh off the skin and bones with chopsticks if the fish had only been cooked for long enough that it was still kicking and besides it looks like some bottom feeding freshwater fish most of those taste like mud!,then again maybe the fish is only the garnish and the real meal is that goop they pored over it, as for the fishes feelings I'm sure that particular death is no worse than what happens to the majority of fish caught by recreational fishermen which invariably are left to flop around on the deck of a boat while slowly asphyxiating in the hot sun or drowning in their own excrement in a bucket. I do like to eat scollops and oysters as fresh still gives me a fright when those scollys kick as you rip them out of the shell and all those little eyes looking at me - funny seeing a shellfish trying to escape when your diving on them they a cunning little bugrs.

goslow it is indeed a freshwater bottom dwelling fish known as a common carp.here in uk it was not generally classed as food but many european countries eat it all the time and class it as excellent to eat.i fully agree on the muddy taste comment never eaten freshwater native fish myself but have come across many who have tried them and gave the exact same comment.think i will just stick to catch and release and go to the chippy for my fish
and of course chips.
