im pretty sure if the avg antivirus detects it then the avg anti spyware will remove it. http://free.grisoft.com/doc/20/lng/us/tpl/v5 its free and worth a try,you could also go the usual route that many follow and use spybot search and destroy and adaware.all of which are free and very useful tools,of course prevention is better than a cure.

I have tried the AVG Anti Spyware. It says it removed some 81 objects when I did the fast system scan. But the home page still continues to be changed. Maybe later I will do the full system scan. |

I personally have no problem clicking on the link. But anyway I have a copy with the listing as HijackThis.pdf file.
Some update on the effects of the trojan that I have experienced: When I do use the Google search engine, the results are displayed okay. However when I click on the results I end up going to an eBay search page with the same search phrase. Go figure. Apparently this trojan only affect Internet Explorer. So I am using another browser for the time being and there seems to be no adverse effect. |

IMHO there's nothing nasty in your log. I recommend to check your system with the two free malware scanners; Ad-Aware & Spybot.
