It was being actively developed a year or so ago, but the website is now gone.
Can read alittle info here about the OS & Office Suite.
NEWDEAL INC & NEW DEAL OFFICE
Changes from NewDeal 98 to NewDeal Release 3
Available software for download

Ive just rebuilt an old computer and dropped windows 95 on it so its original, do the older versions of internet explorer work fine on 95 or would i be better with the newest version ?
This is swings and roundabouts. One of my teenage sons has a fairly old low spec PC with win 98 installed running I.E. 5. I tried to install Norton AV 2004 but it insists on I.E. 5.5 or higher. I keep paying for yearly Norton upgrades to keep my subscription active..... I wonder what Norton would say if I asked for a free downgrade to say Norton AV 2002

Use F-prot, or Bitdefender's free versions. I had a interesting A/V app i was testing, which i have it listed in the anti-virus listing, and it should work fine for you. Anti-Vir Personal Edition - Completely FREE.
If you feel you have to pay for an anti-virus app, thats fine, but there is no real need, as the "free" programs work just as good, and usually don't require as much resources, ram, and wasted time, as the bloated suites of Nortons & McAfee.
