Default HELP! i think utorrent 1.7.7 has been destroying my computer

now as i said i've had to renstall windows xp 3 times in the last month and i think it's all utorrent's fault are the 1.5 versions and before stable or do i have to switch clients

hmm, mayby it not uTorrent himself, but a "stuff" you downloaded by it...

do you have your antivirus program installed & update & scaned all drives?
maybe you have open all TCP/IP ports in firewall? do you have one?
did you disabled your XP firewall?
did you enabled UDP?

I second that. Been using it for quite a while, never had a problem. And by the way, when it comes to p2p software, you'd better get the latest non-beta version, for it often fixes security issues... and trust me, you don't want security issues on a PC that gets lots of connexions everyday due to p2p.
