Since Microsoft used to include a version of frontpage with each IE download, you can find Frontpage 3.0 somewhere on the net with an older IE release.
Otherwise their Frontpage 2000/2002/XP is retail software, and offering it for download is illegal.
If you want to use a html editor for one time, and do not want to pay, check out the FREEWARE; which means you dont pay anything, in this previous thread.

Frontpage Express is the html editor that came with the original version of Windows 98 (not SE). It's available free at various download and educational websites. Here's one source:

It's fairly easy to use, but very basic and a bit dated, so don't expect too much. It has a nasty habit of changing any advanced html that it doesn't recognise.

Frontpage is a more advanced html editor. It's not freeware. Buy it from a software vendor or directly from Microsoft.

If you're just going to create a basic web page without scripts and any fancy stuff. Check the capabilities of your word processor.
For instance in Ms Word 97 you can:
Click "File"
Scroll down to "Save As"
In the box labeled "Save as type:" scroll down and select "html document"

Frontpage Express may be a worthy addition to the Oldversion inventory. It wasn't as easy to find as it was a year ago. It may not be available from the usual sources for much longer.

If you want a proffesional quality page editor that's free, and not even ad supported I can't recommend the AceHTML 5 highly enough. It's a fairly large program, about 5mb, and pretty slow, but you can edit dozens of pages in a single session, do batch replace and many advanced features.

But if you just want to work on a few pages and know or want to learn HTML your Notepad will do just fine. Notepad is my default editor for pages and it can be used for .js and .css as well.

dude, use notepad, great for begginer html. or use html-kit. search it on google.
