    Does anyone know where to find the file GDI.dll, I can't find it and Caesar II does not instal without it

    which version of windows are you running? the gdi.dll is a 16bit graphics device interface, there is also GDI32.dll, which is a 32bit version.
    I would have to guess that is might be on your WIndows CD, stored in a cab file. you could search for it.
    insert the cd into the cd drive.
    open the find file command, and where it says "Containing text", enter your query gdi
    If the system you are using is windows 95, then get the cab file titled Win_95_11.CAB, inside is a gdi32.dll.
    if you post what OS you have, it would help figure out if the dll is part of the OS, or just a developers file they pack with programs, and would help you get the file if it can be found.

    for windows98, i found gdi.exe in the mini.cab & Win98_45.CAB, gdi32.dll in the Win98_30.CAB

    I found an updated GDI+.dll, maybe you can use it.
