try looking into the VNC, not sure what will work on WFW though, but there is a DOS VNC viewer out there that might be a starting place.

If you just wanting to do file transfers, you can look for FileMaven, if your access the PC through an insecure network, you may want to look into using SSH.
an alternative to controlling WFW, if your just wanting to use the OS for some old time file applications for special purposes, would be to install WFW inside a VM (Virtual Machine) on another PC. Let's say your running on 1 machine, WFW, and on another, Windows 98. You could install a VM on Win98 that is running WFW inside the VM. This will give you the benefits of a faster processor (possibly) to run WFW on. you can install any number of Operating systems on a VM. and yes, there is a freely available VM out there that you can use. you can even run differnet Operating systems via a VM, while the host os is something else, such as your host os is Win98, and you want to run FreeDOS or UNIX on the VM.
