the following link http://www.5star-shareware.com/Utilities/P...ns/acrobat.html lists version 5 as (licence free) if you would sooner have it on cd you could check out www.ebay.com
I have a license key for Adobe Acrobat v5 (this was purchased leagally), but the CD is lost. Does anyone know where I can find another copy? I'd love to be able to download this. I phoned Adobe but they would only sell me an upgrade to the latest version.....thanks!

simply me
Sorry for the mis-understanding, but my license is for the full version which is used to create PDF files, not just the reader.....brian
Loosing the CD is tough, your'e for the most part only going to find demo's online. Your probably going to have to buy the CD again. You can check here for cheaper costing software, its not dirt cheap mind you.

If you know of any local computer shows in your area, you might want to hit them, and see if they have any deals on the title your seeking.
Otherwise you can lok in previous threads for similar products to Acrobat, some are even freeware.

I suppose the analogy would be going to your local bookstore and asking for another copy of War and Peace because you left it on a bus, even though you still had the receipt for the book.Originally posted by guest_Brian@May 11 2004, 02:00 PM

This is sort of on topic inasmuch as you can back up your licenced adobe application to a media disc so if you loose the original disc through theft or by whatever means you can re-install using your licence key. Or you could have made a photocopy of War and Peace.
Not so If you purchase a DVD movie and you want to back it up. The US courts have ruled against 321 studios DVD X Copy because it contains a de-encrypting system for copying DVD movies. It would seem that it is possible to copy a legally purchased version Adobe Acrobat 5 to a CD-R disc, also to photocopy a book bought from amazon.com, but not if you buy a DVD movie which could be lost, stolen, damaged etc.
Now that 7 reader is out, anyone have a version of Acrobat 6 reader to share?
Be sure to always search before posting a new thread. You should be able to find what your looking for here:

I am using v5.0.1 at the present time. Is there a more updated free version being offered? The program I currently have installed is trouble free, and very easy to work with. Just curious if there is a newer version that is available. Not looking for something that is still being tested. Thanks for any information in this regard.
