NTI never had a free version, they did have a shareware & demoware version of NTI2000. they may have given free updates to an older version, but i have used NTI since version 3, and had only been able to upgrade to 3.6 for free. never had a full working ver for free.
you can get a copy of the newest release to demo out which happens to be version 6.

i bought a pentium motherboard and a 800mz chip and it was on the cd that had the drivers on it . since i up graded and give mother board and chip away. idont have cd but pro worked great never ran out. no trail time . but said i could upgrade never did it done what i wanted .

The software that came with the motherboard was an OEM packaged version of NTI, so it was a full retail product. Being a full retail product, it would not expire on you. you will not find verions such as those on this board. It is illegal to share such software with others. as it is usually agasint the User Agreement from the developers of the software.
you can try the demo versions.
