    i have a bunch of .avi files on my computer but i dont have a media player that can play them, which one can play them??

    that depends on the encoding of the avi file, some can be simple old style avi, or some can be compressed divx format.
    you can try the windows media player for them, if they work then your good, if they do not play then you might want to download the divx bundle.

    if you dont like the idea of ads, you can prolly just download the divx codec pack and it should allow your media player to now handle these files, again, only if it is required or you want.

    Probably where it says Standard DivX Codec(FREE)

    This doesnt work for me!!!!!

    Im trying to watch OFFICE SPACE and it wont come up....Im using Windows Media Player to do this,so..........

    Any ideas????????

    what Divx codec version is it in encoded in? Did you installed the newest codec pack or player?

    I went to that site listed and got latest codecs i gues,im not sure....

    Can you get OFFICE SPACE to work??????

    No, really dont have any interests in watching videos. I checked the avi-file and it is almost 80megs. Are you downloading the file or trying to stream it? you might have to download the whole file then play it locally

    You can use http://www.avipreview.com. You can even preview your .avi files that you're downloading from the net.
