    Again, please identify the links your posting to, dont just drop these off as secret posts, try to explain to people what your linking to, this way they can decided if it is one they wish to look at, most people won't even bother going to something someone posts if the link is not clear as to the nature of the site.
    When you wish to assist someone with a link, label it to the sites name or what sort of program it is.
    Don't just say "this one", try using something such as "AVIPreview by AJ, The first media player made with the File Sharing Community in mind"

    a link with that description might make someone interested in clicking on it. Then note if the program is free or shareware, this also lets the user decided if they want to check the site out, as some might only want to go after freeware.

    IMO, here is a great combination of player/codec to use:

    Media Player Classic: http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/
    ffdshow: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow (the alpha version)

    Media Player Classic >> also has the Matroska and OGM splitter built-in.
    ffdshow: decode lots >> xvid, divx, etc etc...
