are you saving the files to the hard drive? and they are called something.swf?
to play em, save em to a folder, right click on the file, then select the Open With dialog, scoll down to Internet Explorer select it.
this will let you view them offline.

Irfanview, the free picture editor, has a plugin for Shockwave and Flash, too:

thats good find, but, i still have to add, if you already have IE installed, might as well use it. this way your not installing Yet another software title.

    Too true and I do
but some times its fun to play with the toys especially free ones
    or betas ;)
Swiff Player has a few more options.
Never tried it being a beta I get to play with myself :)

havent tried these players but maybe they load faster than a browser for just playing a .swf file not that I'm in any hurry ;)
    Free
Flash Movie Extract Pilot extracts all cached flash movies and plays them.

Edit: I've used the above (2posts) "Swiff Player" it is faster to load than my browser you can drag & drop files into it and it often plays the file alot smoother than browser ,caused no conflicts I am aware of.

Does Freshview play shockwave files? as any suggested programs should be related to the thread, which means they should offer what the user is asking for, in this case, a shockwave player. I do not see .swf listed on the website as supported formats which it handles. So are you aware of something not documented on the website?
    irfanview does support .swf files.
