another substitute for Hotmail popper is Foxmail, it is an excellent freeware feature rich mail client with built in hotmail support and SMTP server. Even if you don't like Foxmail you can still use the hotmail feature as a stand alone program. You can get it from:

Yes, foxmail has been mentioned on the site before, in this thread. Along with a few other free email clients.
And in this thread there is also some groupware apps.

I can access Hotmail accounts with Mailwasher 1.32. The trick is to install the freeware program Hotmail Popper. download it from www.boolean.ca/hotpop/

Firstly, apoligies for not reading the instructions on how to request the app..

Secondly, I would like to thank all of you for your very interesting + very helpful responses - this forum is top notch&#33;

I couldnt find the url after I posted which explains the delay in thanking you all&#33; (it&#39;s not difficult I appreciate and wont make the same mistake again&#33.

Anyway, i did find a few links, primarily through un-update french websites...but it&#39;s great to see there are alternatives.

I have a free version of Mailwasher that does not require Hotmail Popper to access Hotmail. It also supports multiple mail accounts.
