I believe with Windows 2000 you can type start->run and type in "mplayer2" without the quotes to launch Windows 6.4.
Great site.
Your version of the Windows Media Player 6.4 does not run on Windows 2000.
The version that runs on Windows is 6.4.09.1121.
Could you please upload this version?

Yes that is correct.
Another tip is replacing the file for the current version of Media Player with "mplayer2" kinda swap filenames..

Thanks, but that is only for Win9x... :/
Hey, it's me, Brian, lightsup55!
Anyway, sorry, that was a shout-out to my brother.
So, who likes that program. I like the older version of WMP because:
>> I HATE all skins
>> I TOTALLY HATE jukeboxes and playlists
>> I also have problems with 7 because it's slow
>> I think that visualizations are unnecessary
Let me know what ya'all think.
I agree, WMP 6.4 is the best for video playback, it runs faster, and isn't as bloated as the newer versions are.
It's true, if you like visualizations to go with your audio files, 6.4 can't help you. However, if you don't care about that, 6.4 is the way to go for audio as well.
WinAmp works good for audio too, though.
