Would it be possible to offer the regular exe file for the program (mplayer2.exe)? On my home PC, I have both version 6.4, as well as the version from Win 95. I would be happy to submit them.

    Thanks for a great site!
If you want to run it now, click:
    Start -> Run
    Type:

    mplayer2.exe

To find the file on your computer, click
Start -> Find -> Files or Folders

    Name: mplayer2.exe

Click search. Be sure to create a shortcut to it and place it on the desktop.

    Hello,

In some sites they refer to realmedia extentions in WMP. I know real forced MS to remove it cause of copyright crud, but where may I download it?

I can't find it in google, and MS doesn't have it available to download anymore.

The reason why is that Realplayer hard stalls my computer for some reason and I want to be able to listen to real audio streams at least...

    Thanks!

The plugin you specified had a dead link for download.

Any other places I could get it?

Also, those sites do not show a link for where I can download the extention...

before I posted this, I downloaded the plugin, to make sure it was not going to be a dead link.
so i have the plug-in, if you want i can email it to you then.

infact, I just now, while replying with this message, checked to make sure, and the file does download.

you have to click the link titled "toget"

but if it doesnt work for you, i can email you it.
    just let me know.

Tried downloading again, it worked this time but when I try to play it says I need to have realplayer installed...

Any idea where I can find the extension for WMP?

i dont know of any extensions for WMP. i do not use WMP, RA.
i had only looked for an explanation, which is contained in the first few links in my posting.
as far as the links suggest, WMP will only play RA v4.

try this page it has some info. on the directshow acm for handling RA v4
    http://www.microsoft.com/Developer/PRODINF...ew_Media_Player

thats about all i know. since I dont use realaudio for anything.

are the old version of RA also stalling your system?
behind a proxy maybe? and have not set RA up correctly to use the proxy?

I have tried Realplayer 8 and 7. Both hard crash my computer when it first tries to load up. I have no proxy, as it is my home machine.

RealOne requires more of a computer than I have, and I think it'd crash too. I've also heard lots of problems relating to it.

    update:

    try this
    http://snow.prohosting.com/coandco/downloa.../realcodecs.exe

OR: Tara's input plugin allows Winamp to play real audio, real video, real jukebox, mpegs, live rtsp/pnm streams like those from Spinner.com & Radio@AOL, and many other formats. Successfully tested with Real Player 6/7/8/G2 on Win9x/ME/NT/2K/XP.
