I do not run the site, I am just a member & the forum's moderator. So i can not add files to the main site. That decision would be the Admins/Owners.

Hi, I would like to request for Quicktime Version 6.5.1 since apparently the Version 6.5.2 plugin won't run anything which requires Version 6.5.1 to run. Thanks much

    QuickTime 6.5.1Windows /98/ME/2000/XP Installer (12 MB)
Windows /98/ME/2000/XP Installer (alternate) untested version links @ own risk as with all downloads.

    Apple Update Patches QuickTime
    Version 6.5.2 Resolves Security Flaw
Versions 6.5.1 and earlier of Apple's QuickTime for Windows player contain a security flaw that puts users at risk of computer hijack...
...Research firm Secunia rates the QuickTime issue as "highly critical"...

Have you tried just uninstalling earlier quicktime and then only installing later version when prompted as to properly register it.

I would opt for the Quicktime Alternative. Infact I play quicktime Mov's on UNIX using libquicktime.
The Quicktime Alternative is also known as -klite codecs (there is a thread on the forum for older versions as well)

I recently (like a fool) upgraded my itunes install, which also upgraded quicktime to version 6.5 something or other. Most of my music is in ogg vorbis format. I need to find an install for an older version of quicktime, preferably 6.0.2, so that the file which gives quicktime (and thus itunes) ogg support works again.

(http://qtcomponents.sourceforge.net/ in case you were wondering).

Of course, a way to get newer quicktime versions to play ogg files would be good, too.
