A Suggestion For A Mod To The Site Here

I have a tremendous problem keeping track on what threads i'm involved in and i'm guessing that i probably don't reply in some of them because i forgot that i even replied in that thread.

This mod will give you a little extra icon beside the post icon if you have participated in the thread. If an admin would install this mod, it would probably make life easier for many of us

Where did you come across that? Does it work with mysql and php? There is nothing on the site to give a clue to what exactly is it, or what it works with. Is it just an icon? patch? How does it know you posted already in a site?
Too bad the developer does not have a page you can read about it on.
I just downloaded it, and the file is for a server running .asp files. These here are php.

I believe you could edit the script Locust to work with php files.....

I dunno,would help lots of peeps out,this is for sure...........

That one is for phpBB, this board is IPB. You might need to do some code changing to make it work. Sometimes it's more work then one wants to do to convert from asp to php code.

IPB already contains an option for Quick Reply Box...it's in forum settings in the Admin Control Panel. no modification neccessary.

It also already has, built in, options to allow people to see whether or not they have posted in a topic. If they have posted in a topic with no new posts, the graphic f_form_no_dot.gif shows up, whereas if they havent posted, f_form_no.gif shows up (thats for the default skin)

I belive the Quick Reply is only avalable in IPB 1.3 and higher. The OldVersion.com Forums are using IPB 1.1, so Quick Reply couldn't be used here unless the board is upgraded.
