    I use Defragmenter in Safe Mode but it keeps restarting, even with no background apps running. It there a Dos Command to run it?

    i see your back then and havent changed much, look down the forum there was a thread only the other day which covered scandisc and defragmenter why start a new one ? you could of added this to that already started thread in which it was answered already.

    Please read the posts before posting a new thread, this is a related topic, so it would have been alright to add to that existing thread.
    In the thread it states, you must be sure to run scandisk before running the defrag utility.
    There is no dos commands for defrag. If you were running an old system (16bit), you could make use of Nortons Speed Disk, but i would not run it on todays (or yesterdays) systems.

    Not only was this just talked about, but there are many exisiting threads dealing with the subject.
