    I just tried again and i got this! (I wish......)

    It must have malfunctioned cause i tried it again and i got a more reasonable reading (I have an audio stream going right now also,an online one)

    2472.7 Kbps (Not too bad at the moment i gue$&#036

    Tonight i got 3371.9 Kbps (3.37 Megs)

    Thats a little better!!!!

    I was worried when this site which usually gives me accurate readings told me 336kb!!!

    I was thinking huh????????? That cant be right.....

    Im on the XP computer upstairs right now thats ON THE MODEM ITSELF and i got 5119.8 (5.11Megs)

    Im lucky if i get 3Megs in my room going over that crap router!!!

    And the stupid cable guy said "There wont be any speed loss"

    Yeah right.......Routers blow,always have,always will...

    You need a router to "route" your packets. They don't "blow" they 'route."
    What you might have an issue with is the built-in packet filtering, just disable it.

    If one box gets 5mbps, and the other only 3mbps, then check the cable, you might have a poor quality cat5 cable. Get a cat5e or cat6 cable instead. Also, you machine being windows 98 may need to be tuned alittle better.
