Is it possible to download just the Divx codec anymore? Divx.com only bundles it with their worthless player these days... :angry:

Does anyone have the install file for DivX 5.0.3 or 5.0.4 (whichever was the last one to work
for Windows 95)? I refuse to be goaded into upgrades to the OS when everything else I run
on it works silky smooth. Haven't had a blue screen of death or GPF window in months.

I've got two CDs with Divx on them. The inf date is 1996, but I don't know what version they are. They are about 8mb in size. Let me know if you can download that much.

I think I have Divx 4. I have another, I think it is 5.02, I'm not sure. They are 709 KB and 3.19 Mb respectivley. Let me know.

install it slowly and take the check mark out of the player install option in the setup wizard then you wont install the player and the codecs will adhere to win player
