Weatherbug is spyware and I hate the program anyway.
dont say you hate the program without any reason why you hate it, or atleast give what you believe to be a better app than it.
otherwise your post is a waste of space. very much why many people do not reply to guest users.

    Is Weatherbug spyware??
It came on my new computer and I thought I uninstalled it but it still seems to be around although not used.
There is a window by my desk and I can look out B) and see if it is sunny or not and we have a nice indoor/outdoor thermometer that gives the temp! h34r:
We dont download many programs or go to shady B) websites and do use a firewall so I think I am on top of spyware (Also have javascript disabled and REJECT cookies except when I want them-- Gotta LOVE that NETSCAPE browser!&#33
whadda ya think?? spyware or not??

According to a few websites, it is NOT spyware. but appears to contain adware, and alot of people confuse them as being the same.

yes, having a monitoring station is nice. Some of those indoor/outdoor stations can be hooked up to a computer also. I use a few perl module to retrieve my weather from a METAR station - local airport, then it sends it to my mailing list, this way i can get a 10 day forecast in advance. This gives me the Air Pressure, Wind Speed, Humidity, Wind Chill, Clouds conditions. plus alot more data. and I run another script to give me the current temperature. I have this automatically everyday, so i dont have to go tracking down weather reports, or sitting through 1 1/2 hours of news just to catch a 5-day forcast.

You should have posted the thread you got these from so it could have been corrrected.
Also note that only programs on the main site, http://oldversion.com are hosted files, all links posted in the forum are on external sites, which Oldversion.com has no control over.

If you come across links in a thread that no longer works, please post that notice into that thread, not into the OldVersion.com board. As that board is for any links related to the main site & hosted files links, not for forum submitted links.
This thread will be moved from the oldversion.com board into the request board, as it pertains to links posted there.

i have updated the links due to this posting, so you should be able to find a working version now in the thread. If clicking on links does not work, be sure you right-click and select SAVE_AS

I love the convenience of Weatherbug but I've also had a lot of bad luck using Weatherbug (which is FULL of spy/adware&#33
Luckily I found a free replacement called "Weather Watcher" that does the same things as weatherbug but minus the crap! It's very customizable and doesn't seem to take up much space at all. I'll never use Weatherbug again!

I guess you didn't bother to look at the other posts above. If you look at previous posts, you might find what you're looking for.

Description: I would appreciate it if somebody has a link to the early versions of this app. The current one has loads of spyware and you have to subscribe to it. Previous versions were clean as a whistle.
