    Okay, I just found a new driver for my monitor other than the default. I'm now using this driver, with absolutely no change in the colors I have available. So apparently the problem lies elsewhere. I still have only 2 color choices, 2 or 16. :unsure:

    The monitor does not have a driver, it has a profile. If you downloaded a driver, it would be for the video card. Both of these, driver profile and video card will need setup.
    Yes, the Es1869 is indeed a sound card driver. So thats unrelated.

    To find out what video card you have, you will most likely need to open the case on the computer, Just find a philips screwdriver, thats the cross bit one +.

    Open the computer up, and look for a physical card that your monitor connects to, if you do not have one, then you have a built-in, on the motherboard, graphic adpater.

    Have you tried, going to the system propertys, selecting the monitor display and removing it, then selecting your video card, and removing it, rebooting and seeing if it auto detects the proper hardware.
